"Autonomous divers" connects the works that inhabit the room. In the space of the Moonens Foundation, the artists offer radical interventions in the form of installations and performances. The result blurs the border between 2D and 3D, transforms architecture, plays on the ambiguity of materials. The works meet and enter circulation with the place of exhibition.

L’ œuvre « volutes de jungle » a été réalisé par Arthur Prigent, Irina Maloir et Elfie Poiré avec l’aide de bénévoles sur deux semaines, in situ. Les matériaux utilisés proviennent de Souplothèque, une récupérathèque spécialisée dans les matériaux souples. Il s’agit d’un espace de matériaux de seconde main ouvert à tous. Son économie s’appuie sur sa propre monnaie.

C’est une œuvre immersive qui joue avec l’espace et le lieu d’exposition. Le public est invité à pénétrer les bandes de tissus pour circuler, se croiser, et se perdre. L’œuvre est ainsi activée par la présence des spectateurs qui s’y trouve et deviennent acteur de l’œuvre. Elle se dévoile quand les bandes de tissus s’entremêlent, se confrontent dans un mouvement variable et tournant ou les couleurs et la lumière se mette en rapport pour créer une scène changeante, la condition pour que cette expérience ait lieu, c’est la suspension et le jeu.

Volutes de jungle offre une double perception, l’exploration de l’intérieur en immersion dans la matière et vu de dessus, de loin, comme un tableau coloré en mouvement.
Cette œuvre pose les questions de l’expérience immersive de l’espace, de la perte des repères, entre curiosité et rétraction, de la modification des sensations physique et visuelle.

L’incongruité de l’œuvre incite à la circulation et, simultanément, pousse notre esprit vers un nouvel imaginaire, spatial et instable à la fois.
